Table Linens 101

At Elegant Beginnings, Inc., we understand that there are many deciding factors when you choose to spend money on your reception decor.  Now that you have decided to rent linens for your wedding reception, here are two essential factors for you and your planning/coordinating committee to consider:

Size: The size of the table is what will determine the size of the adorning cloth. Also, how much of the cloth you choose to leave hanging will have an effect upon the atmosphere of the room. For example:
For a formal ambiance, a table cloth that hangs to the ground is what is advisable; but for a more casual
family dinner-like feel, a cloth that covers your table completely and hangs down a few inches is what is
needed.

Color: The proper choosing of your color palette for your linens is another essential aspect. For formal
occasions, traditional color like ivory, white, and black are always safe investments; but other rich
but subtle hues such as navy blue, royal purple, champagne pink, burgundy/maroon, silver, gold, or
chocolate are just as fulfilling. For a wedding, you could limit yourself to these colors or else work
off of a scheme that coincides with whatever theme you may have chosen. But whatever you decide
to do, the color should reflect upon the kind of gathering, the theme, and also the people attending.
